Senior Software Engineer, Platform
Infinite Edge, Inc
About the role
Our Mission
Everyone knows the feeling of opening something unexpected and loving it. IcyBox turns that feeling into a business. We started as a watch commerce and mystery box company and are building a consumer brand people trust and come back to. We move fast, sweat the details, and are still writing our playbook.
Our Values
Move Fast, Build Right: Ship today, fix tomorrow.
Own the Gap: If nobody owns it, we step in.
Clarity Is a Gift: Turn noise into decisions and action.
Trust Over Title: Follow-through beats position.
Say the Real Thing: Hard conversations happen early.
Do the Unglamorous Work: No task is beneath us.
About the Role
You’ll own our internal operations platform. It’s the system every team uses to run the business: merchandising builds and prices boxes in it, operations ships items and manages stock, finance reconciles payments and payouts, growth runs promotions, affiliates and experiments, and support helps users. This is a full-stack product role. You’ll talk to internal users, decide what to build, and ship it end to end, usually within days. This role is in person at our New York City office, five days a week.
What You’ll Do
Design and build features across a Rust backend and a React frontend, from database schema to UI.
Build tools for operational workflows such as catalog and inventory management, pricing, order fulfilment and customer support.
Turn data into decisions with dashboards, reporting and analytics built on our data warehouse.
Integrate the platform with external services and keep those integrations reliable as they scale.
Make the system safe to operate: role-based access, audit trails, safe migrations and performance under real production load.
Work closely with the teams who use what you build, learn how they actually work, and replace manual processes and spreadsheets with fast, simple tools.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of software engineering experience, with real experience on both backend and frontend.
Strong backend skills in Rust, or in another typed language (Go, Kotlin, TypeScript, etc.) plus a clear interest in moving to Rust.
Solid React + TypeScript skills, including data fetching and state management (e.g. TanStack Query) and building data-dense UIs: tables, filters, forms, charts.
Strong PostgreSQL / SQL: schema design, migrations, query performance.
Product sense. You ask why an operator needs something before building it, and you care that internal tools are fast and pleasant to use.
Comfort owning features end to end in a small team with high velocity.
Nice to Have
Experience with internal tools, admin platforms or ERP-like systems at an e-commerce, marketplace or fintech company
Data warehouse experience (Snowflake, dbt) or building analytics and experimentation tooling
Experience working on the AWS platform
Experience using AI coding tools effectively in your daily workflow.
Startup or high-growth company experience
