About the role

Elevate Organizational Performance: Lead the Future of

Technical Development as our Next AI Agentic

Software Engineer!

About Us:

Trimble is a global technology company that connects the physical and digital worlds, transforming the ways work gets done. With relentless innovation in precise positioning, modeling and data analytics, Trimble enables essential industries including construction, geospatial and transportation. Whether it's helping customers build and maintain infrastructure, design and construct buildings, optimize global supply chains or map the world, Trimble is at the forefront, driving productivity and progress.

What Makes This Role Great:

As a Senior AI Agentic Software Engineer, you will operate as an

experienced full-stack engineer who independently owns the technical development, quality, and performance of complex engineering work using cutting-edge agentic AI tools. You'll work with broad autonomy on ambiguous problems, set technical direction for your area, and raise the bar for the engineers and agents around you. You will play a critical role in bringing strategic visions to life through secure and optimal architectures. You'll join the Payroll team for Trimble Financials, building a React micro-frontend

backed by an event-driven .NET payroll system.

Key Exciting Responsibilities:

  • Agent Orchestration: Design, own, and continuously improve the pipelines through which AI development agents perform coding, documentation, and refactoring on secure, maintainable, approved platforms. Set the team's standards for supervising agent output, code quality, and version control, and

own the prompt libraries, agent skills, and evaluation datasets that keep agent workflows reliable.

  • Architecture: Lead the design of modular, cost-aware architectures for scale and performance that agents can implement. Drive technical feasibility and security reviews early in the PDLC, ensure adherence to Platform standards (e.g., TID, EMS, Modus, File Service), and lead prototype design reviews that turn product requirements into execution plans. Author and review ADRs, and weigh in on architectural decisions that span multiple services or teams.
  • Feature Delivery and Testing: Deliver complex, end-to-end features across frontend (e.g., UI, accessibility) and backend services (e.g., APIs, authentication, messaging, infrastructure) with minimal guidance. Own testing strategy and frameworks for your area, including unit, integration, and E2E tests with explicit coverage targets and automated, continuous testing.
  • Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor and coach other engineers on agentic development practices, code review, and system design. Lead code and design reviews, share reusable patterns across teams, and help less experienced engineers grow.
  • Business Outcomes: Own applicable KPIs for your area, ensuring your work and your team's technical decisions are directly tied to business outcomes.
