Experience: 10+ years of software engineering experience, including designing and operating production backend systems and leading complex technical initiatives.

Backend Development: Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript or TypeScript, with hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining REST APIs.

Production Engineering: Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, troubleshooting, and secure software development.

Technical Leadership: Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, lead design discussions, and influence technical decisions across teams without formal authority.

Soft Skills:

Ability to turn ambiguous business and technical problems into clear, practical engineering plans.

Strong communication skills, including explaining architectural decisions and trade-offs to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Collaborative leadership, constructive feedback, and a commitment to developing others.

Experience leading cross-team technical strategy and platform evolution, including new capability development, legacy modernization, build-versus-buy decisions, and complex migrations. Demonstrated ability to balance business value, engineering investment, and operational risk while reducing complexity and enabling long-term growth.

Deep experience designing and operating AWS-based distributed systems, spanning containerized services, serverless computing, asynchronous messaging, and data storage.
