For our client, we are seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer- SWAT (Remote) to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space.
This role will focus on building and supporting production-grade Java backend services that power critical integrations and internal applications. You will collaborate closely with architects, Salesforce engineers, and other technical partners to design reliable APIs, data flows, and scalable system connections. The position also calls for strong troubleshooting skills and a hands-on approach to delivering high-quality software in a fast-moving, agile environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $120,000 – $180,000 annually
Responsibilities
Design and develop Java backend services using Spring Boot
Implement scalable and reliable services integrated with enterprise CRM systems
Engage in architecture discussions for APIs and data flows
Write high-quality code with comprehensive testing
Troubleshoot complex integration issues across systems
Contribute to internal web applications backed by Java services
Partner with CRM engineers to ensure seamless integration
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in Java software engineering
Proven experience building and supporting production Java backend services
Strong skills in Spring Boot or similar frameworks
Experience with REST API development and distributed system integration
Familiarity with CRM platforms, including Apex and LWC, is preferred
Knowledge of event-driven architectures such as Kafka is a plus
Experience with AWS or similar cloud environments
