About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Data Scientist 5, Messaging to join the team of a leader in the Hospitality & Recreation space.

This role will focus on advanced experimentation and causal inference to help shape data-driven decisions across a high-scale customer communication function. You will design rigorous measurement approaches, improve analytical frameworks, and turn business questions into scalable data science solutions. The position partners closely with stakeholders to influence strategic outcomes and support expansion into new areas of the business.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $372,000 – $600,000 annually

Responsibilities

Design A/B tests to evaluate messaging strategies with a focus on statistical validity

Apply causal inference methods when traditional testing is not possible

Develop and refine experimentation standards and measurement frameworks

Manage code and data pipelines, and enhance datasets to ensure reliability of analyses

Automate analysis and reporting processes, creating self-service tools for the team

Translate business requirements into actionable data science projects

Build scalable data solutions to support expansion into new verticals

Qualifications

5+ years of data science experience with a focus on experimentation and causal inference

Hands-on expertise in designing A/B tests and applying causal inference techniques

Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and automation

Exceptional communication skills to articulate insights to varied audiences

Strong relationship-building skills to cultivate partnerships with stakeholders

Ability to significantly influence business outcomes through clear data solutions

Comfortable working independently and managing projects from conception to conclusion
