About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Data Scientist to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space.

This role will focus on improving conversational and booking experiences by turning raw customer interactions into actionable data science insights. The Staff Data Scientist will build measurement frameworks, develop predictive models, and help bring advanced machine learning solutions into production. This position will partner closely with cross-functional teams to drive better agent quality, stronger decision-making, and scalable operational outcomes.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $210,000 – $280,000 annually

Responsibilities

Lead improvements to agent conversation and booking processes

Build measurable evaluation systems for agent quality

Analyze real conversations to identify success and failure points

Develop and deploy predictive models into production

Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the development process

Explore new techniques and innovative approaches to solve complex problems

Guide and mentor junior team members in advanced data science techniques

Qualifications

Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field, or equivalent experience

6+ years of experience in data science and machine learning, ideally in tech and marketplace environments

Experience with non-deterministic systems such as LLMs or conversational agents

Strong statistical thinking and experiment design skills

Comfortable working with raw data, including real customer interactions

Proven track record of deploying impactful work in production environments

Proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in cloud ML solutions
