Forward Deployed Engineer - Lead

For our client, we are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer - Lead to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space.
This role will lead end-to-end delivery governance for complex client deployments in a professional services environment, with a strong focus on Generative AI solutions and enterprise platform implementation.
You will partner closely with client IT, architecture, program management, and engineering stakeholders to build delivery discipline, resolve risks, and improve operational execution across engagements.
The position also requires coaching the team, driving automation opportunities, and supporting executive-level visibility into delivery health and outcomes.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $163,000 – $434,000 annually
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery governance for client deployments
Build and maintain integrated delivery plans and tracking frameworks
Establish and own operating rhythms with client counterparts
Lead pre-engagement discovery with client IT and architecture teams
Drive continuous improvement of deployment runbooks and operational playbooks
Identify gaps in deployment processes and drive automation efforts
Produce executive delivery health reports for leadership
Coach and mentor program managers and engineers on the team
Serve as primary escalation point for delivery risks and blockers
Qualifications
12+ years in technology delivery management or enterprise platform implementation
2+ years designing and deploying Generative AI solutions
1+ year implementing AI agent frameworks or workflow integrations
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Experience in cross-functional team leadership in a professional services environment
