Principal Software Engineer 1

For our client, we are seeking a Principal, Software Engineer 1 to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications space.
This role will help shape and deliver advertising software capabilities that support a complex, customer-facing technology environment.
The ideal candidate will collaborate across engineering teams to design end-to-end solutions, guide technical direction, and ensure high-quality delivery.
In addition, this person will mentor junior engineers, contribute to architecture decisions, and help advance automation and AI-enabled tooling in a cloud-native environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $189,051 – $244,036 annually
Responsibilities
Collaborate with peers to design advertising software solutions
Develop end-to-end solutions managing dependencies and cross-team impacts
Execute quality assurance testing to meet design and software requirements
Mentor junior team members on technical approaches and best practices
Contribute to software architecture decisions and technical roadmaps
Utilize CI/CD and automation practices in software deployment
Develop and deploy AI-enabled tooling to cloud environments
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering
5 years of experience in software engineering and full-stack development
Proficiency in Go and Python programming languages
Experience with AWS cloud technologies including EC2, S3, and Lambda
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and Jira
Experience with Kubernetes and monitoring tools like SumoLogic
Knowledge of SQL and Snowflake for database management
