For our client, we are seeking a Principal, IT Software Engineer 2 to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications space.
This role will guide the development and modernization of customer and agent-facing applications that support the company's service operations. You will serve as a technical subject matter expert across core customer experience systems, driving architecture, integrations, and cloud-based delivery in partnership with engineering, security, and business stakeholders. The position also focuses on improving platform reliability, reducing technical debt, and enabling scalable solutions that support both customer and internal user needs.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $147,830 – $268,307 annually
Responsibilities
Guide development and modernization of customer and agent applications.
Serve as the subject matter expert for core customer experience applications and cloud infrastructure.
Lead development of data pathways and integrations with CRM and AI platforms.
Govern application design and architecture to support sustainable technology.
Ensure security and compliance for data and services.
Mentor junior team members on development best practices.
Oversee vendor teams to align with technical vision and minimize technical debt.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
5-8 years of experience in software development and architecture, with a focus on CCaaS or field services software.
Expert-level experience with Salesforce platforms and custom solutions development.
Deep knowledge of AWS services and experience with Terraform for infrastructure.
Demonstrated success in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native applications.
Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance standards in cloud-based CX platforms.
Exceptional communication skills for simplifying technical concepts for various stakeholders.
