Logistics:

12-month contract with potential extensions
Must-Haves:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline
5+ years of recent hands-on experience with LabVIEW and TestStand
Experience developing automated test software using PXI chassis
Experience interfacing with test equipment such as: Analog/Digital I/O cards, DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Switching and signal routing systems, Data acquisition devices, Power supplies, RF analyzers and RF power sensors
Knowledge of hardware interfaces including: GPIB, USB, Ethernet, Serial communications
Programming experience with LabVIEW, TestStand, C/C++, C#, and/or Python
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and within cross-functional engineering teams
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and products
Plusses:
Understanding of electrical engineering, electronics, and computer architecture
Experience creating and utilizing electrical schematics
Cross-platform development experience (Windows/Linux)
National Instruments LabVIEW Certification
Advanced development experience using Python, C#, or other high-level languages
Direct customer-facing technical support experience
Aerospace, Defense, or Government industry experience
System-level test architecture and design experience
Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a leading test and measurement technology client supporting Aerospace, Defense, and Government programs. This candidate will join a cross-functional engineering team focused on developing custom automated test systems that leverage industry-leading hardware and software platforms. The ideal individual will have strong recent experience with LabVIEW and TestStand, developing instrument drivers, automated test sequences, and system-level test applications utilizing PXI-based architectures and a variety of instrumentation. This engineer will collaborate closely with systems architects, electrical engineers, customers, and external partners to deliver large-scale turnkey solutions, provide technical guidance on testability, and support deployment activities. The role offers the opportunity to work on complex, mission-critical systems supporting high-profile defense and aerospace customers while contributing across the full project lifecycle from requirements through deployment and sustainment.
Compensation:
$50/hr to $56/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
