🚀 Software Engineer – Backend / Full Stack

📍 New York, NY | 4 Days Onsite | 💰 $180K–$230K Base + Equity | Full-Time

We’re looking for a talented Backend / Full Stack Software Engineer to join a fast-growing technology company building scalable financial infrastructure and payment systems.

This is a high-autonomy engineering role where you’ll work closely with technical and product leadership, own systems from architecture through production, and have a direct impact on what gets built.

What You’ll Do

Build and own backend services and components end-to-end

Design scalable APIs, backend systems, and infrastructure

Contribute to architecture decisions and engineering standards

Take projects from design → development → deployment → production

Improve monitoring, alerting, and observability

Work across different areas of the platform

Collaborate closely with product and engineering leadership

Make technical decisions and communicate architectural tradeoffs clearly

What We’re Looking For

Required:

2–10 years of backend software engineering experience

Experience at a reputable, growing technology company or high-impact startup

Proven experience building and owning scalable backend systems end-to-end

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another technical field

Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes

Strong technical communication and problem-solving skills

Comfortable participating in technical discussions and architectural decisions

Willingness to work 4 days per week onsite in NYC (Monday–Thursday)

Strongly Preferred:

Hands-on experience with Go or Node.js

Fintech, payments, banking, or financial infrastructure experience

Experience with AWS and Terraform

Experience building distributed or highly scalable systems

Experience at a VC-backed startup or rapidly growing technology company

💰 Compensation & Work Model

$180K–$230K base salary + competitive equity

Compensation may flex higher for exceptional candidates based on experience and interview performance.

Location: New York, NY

Schedule: Monday–Thursday onsite, Friday remote

Employment: Full-time
