Senior/Staff Full Stack Engineer – AI Platform (NYC, Hybrid)
Location: Midtown NYC (4 days onsite)
Compensation: $150,000–$250,000 base + bonus (DOE)
We're working with a fully funded AI startup backed by a major hedge fund. The team builds internal tools that use LLMs to extract insights from financial data (e.g., earnings calls, broker notes, internal research). The platform is live and used daily across the business.
You’ll be part of a small engineering team, building full-stack systems from scratch - real-time UIs, backend services, and LLM integrations.
Requirements
4+ years software engineering experience
Strong in TypeScript, Python and SQL
Experience building and owning end-to-end systems
Comfortable working onsite 4 days/week in NYC
Interest or experience in AI/LLMs (integration-level is fine)
Nice to Have
Event-driven architecture, real-time data tools
Experience in startups or small engineering teams
Background in internal tools, data platforms, or finance (not required)
Experience mentoring, levelling up developers
