Software Engineer Intern

About the role

A large professional services firm is looking for an aspiring technologist to join the team for a fixed-term summer placement. This full-time engagement focuses on supporting software development lifecycles through code adjustments and error correction. The successful candidate will work within a remote environment, collaborating with technical teams to deliver functional web applications.

What you'll be doing

• Develop front-end features and components using Vue.js
• Implement accessibility-compliant code to ensure inclusive user experiences
• Debug both front-end and backend applications to resolve technical issues
• Perform backend development using Spring Boot and microservices architecture
• Integrate services with relational databases and execute database operations

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in a degree program within an Information Technology field
• Practical programming experience in Java through coursework or prior projects
• Current Junior status with a high academic standing (3.5 GPA or higher)
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks and version control tools like Git
• Must have the right to work in the country where the role is based
