Role Description The Senior Software Engineer Full Stack role at Meta Black is a full-time, on-site position based in Bellevue, WA. In this role, the engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications across the full stack, including front-end user interfaces and back-end services. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to refine requirements, implement features, and improve performance and reliability. The engineer will review code, mentor peers, drive best practices in software architecture and DevOps, and help integrate AI-driven capabilities where relevant. The role also involves troubleshooting production issues, optimizing existing systems, and contributing to continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
Qualifications
Strong full-stack engineering skills, including experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue) and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Java, .NET, or Python).
Proficiency with web standards and application architecture, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
Experience with cloud platforms and DevOps practices, such as containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code.
Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and secure coding practices.
Ability to work with distributed systems, performance optimization, and monitoring tools to ensure reliability and scalability.
Hands-on experience or familiarity with AI/ML integration, data pipelines, or analytics-driven features is preferred.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and mentor other engineers.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience in a senior or lead engineering role, owning complex projects
