About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join Barclays Services Corp. in Whippany, NJ. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative software solutions that support our financial operations and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will play an integral part in building reusable components, managing real-time data integration, and automating complex business processes within a secure, scalable, and cloud-enabled environment. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software engineering with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in developing enterprise-grade applications. Proven expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#, along with experience in building RESTful APIs and modular services, is essential. Responsibilities

Build reusable, high-quality, and efficient code for real-time integration of reference data, ensuring seamless data flow across various systems.

Manage end-to-end project delivery by overseeing timelines, guiding small teams through development cycles, conducting code reviews, and mentoring junior developers.

Design and extend system architecture based on financial domain requirements, automating business processes to support regulatory compliance and audit trails.

Identify, escalate, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively to ensure timely delivery and minimal impact on operations.

Propose and present modules to technical forums with clear timelines and deliverables.

Leverage MongoDB and SQL databases to manage unstructured trade data and generate compliance reports.

Design modular services and RESTful APIs to support trade lifecycle events, including data enrichment and reconciliation.

Deploy and scale cloud-based services on AWS, utilizing EC2, Lambda, and CloudWatch for availability and monitoring.

Implement automated deployment pipelines, maintain high-availability systems, and support mission-critical financial operations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, devise solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Participate in code reviews, promote best coding practices, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
