- About the Opportunity:
The AI Engineer role involves designing, developing, and maintaining artificial intelligence, machine learning, and large language model solutions to support a cybersecurity operations program within a federal government enterprise. This position contributes by providing secure, reliable, and production-ready AI capabilities that enhance the security posture and operational effectiveness of the organization’s systems.
- Responsibilities:
Design, develop, train, test, deploy, and maintain AI and machine learning models for enterprise and government applications.
Develop and operationalize production AI/ML solutions ensuring reliability, scalability, and mission alignment.
Prepare structured and unstructured data for AI/ML model development and evaluation.
Assess AI technologies, models, tools, and frameworks for suitability in federal cybersecurity use cases.
Apply AI and machine learning techniques to address business, cybersecurity, engineering, analytics, and operational challenges.
Develop and support Generative AI and Large Language Model solutions including configuration, tuning, content moderation, and safety controls.
Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, reliability, bias, and overall performance prior to integration.
Design and execute AI model evaluation and validation methodologies.
Conduct AI red-team testing to identify risks such as bias and security vulnerabilities.
Implement controls to improve factuality and grounding of AI outputs.
Develop processes for continuous AI model monitoring and manage deviations.
Investigate AI performance and compliance issues and develop mitigation strategies.
Manage AI/LLM model lifecycle changes including retraining and architectural modifications.
Maintain detailed technical documentation related to AI/LLM solutions.
- Requirements:
Experience designing and implementing AI, ML, and LLM solutions.
Ability to handle data preparation for AI/ML models.
Knowledge of AI evaluation, validation, and testing methodologies.
Familiarity with AI risk assessment including bias and security vulnerabilities.
Skills in operationalizing AI/ML solutions for enterprise settings.
Experience documenting AI model development and deployment processes.
- Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
