About the Role
We’re building the infrastructure powering the next generation of enterprise AI voice applications. As an Applied AI Engineer, you’ll work directly with enterprise customers to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI solutions that integrate seamlessly into real-world products.
This role sits at the intersection of AI, software engineering, and customer success. You’ll collaborate closely with customer engineering teams, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to solve complex technical challenges, optimize AI workflows, and help organizations successfully launch and scale conversational AI in production.
What You'll Do
Build AI Solutions
Design, build, and deploy production AI voice applications.
Integrate APIs and SDKs into customer products and platforms.
Develop custom workflows, automations, and conversational AI experiences.
Architect scalable AI systems for enterprise production environments.
Solve Complex Technical Challenges
Debug production issues across APIs, webhooks, authentication, telephony, SIP, latency, and infrastructure.
Improve AI behavior through prompt engineering, reliability enhancements, and performance optimization.
Work directly within customer codebases when needed.
Own implementations from proof of concept through production launch.
Drive Customer Success
Lead technical onboarding for enterprise customers.
Serve as the primary technical advisor during implementation.
Guide customers on architecture, deployment strategies, and AI best practices.
Help customers expand AI adoption across multiple business use cases.
Influence the Platform
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve platform capabilities.
Translate customer feedback into product enhancements.
Identify recurring technical challenges and develop scalable solutions.
Create best practices and implementation frameworks for enterprise AI deployments.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
2+ years of software engineering or customer-facing technical experience building production applications.
Strong programming skills in Python, TypeScript, or similar languages.
Experience working with APIs, SDKs, and distributed systems.
Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with technical customers.
Availability to collaborate during U.S. business hours with overlap with Pacific Time.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building AI or LLM-powered applications.
Familiarity with Voice AI, speech technologies, or conversational AI.
Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Knowledge of telephony, SIP, Twilio, or real-time communications.
Startup or high-growth company experience.
Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, or Technical Consulting background.
Willingness to travel up to 10% for customer workshops and onsite engagements.
