Lead Software Engineer, AI Agents & Orchestration
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Lead Software Engineer, AI Agents & Orchestration to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.
This role will lead the technical vision and architecture for AI orchestration capabilities that support complex operational and analytical workflows. The successful candidate will design scalable frameworks, reusable patterns, and governance solutions that help the organization deploy AI capabilities quickly and reliably. This position partners closely with data, engineering, and operations stakeholders to ensure AI systems are well-structured, monitored, and ready for enterprise use.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $154,450 – $205,000 annually
Responsibilities
Own the technical vision and architecture for the AI workload orchestration platform
Design and engineer comprehensive AI orchestration frameworks integrating various models and applications
Develop automated workflows for complex operational and analytical processes
Lead the implementation of AI context engineering and agent architectures
Build reusable orchestration patterns for rapid deployment of AI capabilities
Design scalable data pipelines for AI and analytics workflows
Implement governance and monitoring solutions for AI systems
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
5-7 years of experience in Data Engineering, AI Engineering, or related disciplines
Strong experience developing large-scale data pipelines and distributed processing solutions
Proficiency in Python, SQL, APIs, and cloud-native architectures
Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining RESTful APIs and web services
