Senior Software Engineer, AI (Full-Stack)

Location: U.S.-based

Travel: Some assignments may require 50–80% travel, while others may require little to no travel. At this time, we are only considering candidates who are open to travel.

Hours: Typically 40+ hours per week during an active project

Duration: Varies by project

Engagement: W-2 contract opportunities only

What You May Work On

Design, develop, and deploy scalable, production-ready software solutions

Build secure APIs and scalable backend solutions

Develop and implement AI-enabled solutions

Work across the full stack, cloud platforms, databases, and CI/CD environments

Evaluate frameworks and technologies and select the right tools for each project

Design cloud-native architectures and infrastructure

Apply AI-assisted engineering and agent-based development practices

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor other engineers

Partner with clients to solve complex technical and business challenges

What You’ll Bring

7+ years of experience developing full-stack applications and writing readable, testable, maintainable, and scalable code

Deep proficiency in at least two frontend or backend frameworks, with experience across JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular, Next.js, Vue.js, Java, Spring, C#, or Node.js

Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and designing secure REST and GraphQL APIs

Experience with microservices, distributed architectures, and software design patterns

Experience with at least two cloud providers, including AWS, Azure, or GCP

Experience building infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, CircleCI, or similar tools

Advanced experience with AI-assisted engineering, specialized agents, reusable agent tooling, and AI safety

Experience architecting AI systems and applying LLM evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and validation methods to production-grade AI applications

Security-first mindset with experience implementing OAuth, OIDC, and secure authentication and authorization

Strong understanding of testing, performance, security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability

Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams and mentoring engineers

Strong communication, collaboration, and ability to work autonomously

Willingness and ability to travel 50–80% when required

What to Expect After Applying

Candidates selected to advance will complete a technical assessment, identity verification, conflict-of-interest review, and MBO’s Right to Represent authorization. Compensation

The anticipated compensation for active project assignments is $70-$150 per hour on a W-2 basis. Actual pay rate will depend on experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors. While actively assigned, consultants will receive a fixed weekly amount calculated using the applicable hourly rate and estimated schedule. Compensation applies only during a confirmed project assignment.
