Software Engineer

About the role

An established financial services company is looking for an experienced engineer to join the team. The successful candidate will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will be responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas to support broad business objectives.

What You'll Be Doing

Executing software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to build solutions or break down complex technical problems.

Creating secure, high-quality production code and maintaining algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.

Producing architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.

Developing and implementing secure data lake solutions within cloud environments using modern infrastructure tools.

Leveraging authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables.

What We're Looking For

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.

Proficiency in Python or Java, and database query languages for application development and maintenance.

Knowledge of cloud data management tools such as Glue, EMR, Athena, Redshift, and Lake Formation.

Solid understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaaS) development, including Terraform configuration and scripting.
