What you will do
Design, build, and own scalable backend services and APIs
Contribute to architecture, engineering standards, and infrastructure decisions
Build reliable systems using Go, Node.js, PostgreSQL, REST, and gRPC
Develop and operate containerized services with Docker and Kubernetes
Improve monitoring, observability, and real-time alerting
Work across the platform rather than within a narrowly defined product silo
Collaborate directly with founders and leadership to solve complex technical problems
What we are looking for
2–10 years of professional backend/software engineering experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical field
Proven experience building and owning scalable backend systems end-to-end
Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience working in a high-growth technology environment
Strong communication, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills
Ability to work onsite in NYC Monday–Thursday
Experience in fintech, payments, or financial infrastructure (Nice to Have)
Strong proficiency in Go or Node.js (Nice to Have)
Experience with AWS, Terraform, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, or gRPC (Nice to Have)
Experience operating production systems in a cloud-native environment (Nice to Have)
