Senior Software Engineer
Engagement: Contract-to-Hire (only W2)

About the Role
Looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong Java and Python experience who has built and operated AWS-based microservices and worked within an AI-enabled software development lifecycle. The role involves integrating AI/ML capabilities into production applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable backend microservices using Java and Python on AWS.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and rollback.
Design distributed systems and well-structured APIs.
Integrate LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and AI/ML APIs into production systems.
Manage AWS services including compute, storage, networking, IAM, and monitoring.
Collaborate with Product, ML, and Platform teams.
Required Skills
9+ years of software engineering experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Java + Python (Spring Boot, FastAPI/Flask).
Production experience with microservices and distributed systems.
Strong AWS experience – EKS/ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS/DynamoDB, S3, SQS/SNS, CloudWatch, IAM.
Hands-on CI/CD + IaC – Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab CI/AWS CodePipeline, Terraform/CloudFormation.
Production experience integrating AI/LLM technologies – OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock, RAG, vector databases, embeddings.
Strong knowledge of API design, testing, observability, and security.
Nice to Have
Kubernetes, Kafka/Kinesis, agentic AI, prompt engineering, MLOps, MLflow/SageMaker.
JVM/Python performance tuning at scale.
