Role: Senior Applied AI Engineer
Title: AVP/VP
Location: New York , NYC, Fort worth TX , Oak hill Virginia,
Mode of Work: 3 days/week onsite
Work type - Fulltime & C2H(6 Months)
Required Experience: 8+ years
We are seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI solutions using LLMs, RAG, semantic search, and agent-based workflows. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python and SQL, hands-on experience building enterprise AI applications, and a working understanding of capital markets.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI/GenAI applications using Python.
Build LLM-powered applications, AI agents, and agent-based workflows for enterprise use cases.
Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using semantic search, embeddings, and vector databases.
Apply prompt engineering techniques to improve LLM accuracy, reliability, and performance.
Integrate LLMs and AI services through APIs and enterprise platforms.
Design and implement workflow orchestration, data pipelines, and enterprise integrations.
Work with vector databases, embedding models, semantic search, and knowledge retrieval systems.
Evaluate and optimize LLM and AI-agent performance using appropriate evaluation frameworks and metrics.
Implement LLMOps/MLOps practices, including model monitoring, observability, testing, versioning, and deployment.
Build mechanisms for AI governance, responsible AI, security, and compliance.
Develop scalable and maintainable Python services and APIs.
Work with structured and unstructured data and develop efficient SQL queries and data-processing workflows.
Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve AI application reliability and performance.
Collaborate with engineering, architecture, product, data science, and business teams.
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, technical discussions, and documentation.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Python.
Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
Proven experience building and deploying production AI/Generative AI applications.
Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.
Strong experience with RAG, semantic search, embeddings, and vector databases.
Experience building AI agents and agentic workflows.
Experience with agentic/LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or similar.
Experience integrating AI applications through REST APIs and enterprise APIs.
Experience with workflow orchestration and data pipelines.
Understanding of LLMOps/MLOps, including model evaluation, testing, monitoring, observability, and deployment.
Understanding of AI governance, security, and responsible AI practices.
Strong software engineering fundamentals, including Git, testing, debugging, CI/CD, and code reviews.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
