- About the Opportunity:
The Sr. Software Engineer - Patient Services is responsible for architecting and leading the development of a scalable, resilient backend platform that serves as the core source of patient data. This role is critical during a phase of rapid growth and involves technical leadership, mentorship, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality mental healthcare delivery through robust engineering solutions.
- Responsibilities:
Architect and develop distributed, high-throughput backend systems for patient data.
Lead technical strategy for re-engineering core backend data infrastructure.
Mentor engineers and review architectural designs.
Establish operational rigor and sustainable practices.
Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to guide engineering and product roadmaps.
- Requirements:
4+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
Experience building distributed and event-driven systems.
Experience with microservice development.
Ability to work on cross-functional teams bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity while maintaining quality.
Experience mentoring others and establishing design patterns.
Preferred: Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Preferred: Experience with on-call duties and operational improvements in customer-facing products.
Preferred: Experience in early-stage or high-growth startup environments.
Preferred: Experience with high reliability/accuracy products (e.g., healthcare, finance).
Preferred: Experience with NodeJs and Kafka.
- Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
