About the role

Ultra PRO International is looking for a collaborative and accountable Software Engineer (SWE) who develops, maintains, and enhances software and technology solutions that support Ultra PRO’s core business objectives while maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and performance. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, effective prioritization skills, and the ability to balance technical complexity with Ultra PRO’s practical business needs.

SWEs participate in code reviews, provide and receive constructive feedback, and work closely with Technical Product Managers and stakeholders to define requirements, evaluate tradeoffs, and establish realistic delivery expectations for features and bug fixes.

An SWE at Ultra PRO demonstrates ownership, adaptability, clear communication, and a continuous improvement mindset while contributing to a culture of teamwork, innovation, and excellence.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software applications, services, and integrations that support Ultra PRO’s business and user needs.

Own the delivery of assigned features, enhancements, and bug fixes through production deployment and ongoing support.

Collaborate with Technical Product Managers and stakeholders to refine requirements, identify dependencies, assess risks, and establish realistic timelines and delivery expectations.

Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, security, and adherence to high-quality engineering standards while providing constructive feedback to peers.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidents in a timely manner.

Contribute to technical documentation, system knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and engineering practices.

Work closely with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, Product, and other business verticals and stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and well-tested solutions.

Development experience with programming languages

SQL database or relational database skills

Education/Experience Requisites

5+ years of professional software development experience in a collaborative team environment.

Experience with Ecommerce tooling including Shopify & Marketplace Integrations

Experience with ERP Systems tooling and integrations including NetSuite, SAP, ERPNext, etc

Experience with end-to-end development, deployment and CI / CD workflows via AWS, GCP, Azure or other cloud infrastructure providers.

Experience scoping, developing, testing, and supporting commerce-related software applications or services.

Demonstrated proficiency with modern development environments and code editors/IDEs such as Visual Studio Code / JetBrains with AI assisted development practices.

  • Proficiency with modern development environments and code editors.
