Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI Android Software Engineer – Reliability to join a growing technology team in Plano, TX. This is a hands-on engineering role combining Android/Kotlin development, production reliability, advanced troubleshooting, and AI-driven automation.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex production problems and using AI-assisted tools to make troubleshooting faster and smarter. You will help diagnose issues across Android, C++, Kotlin and other technology environments while developing AI-enabled workflows that reduce root-cause analysis time, improve MTTR, automate repetitive debugging, and increase overall system reliability.

Candidates must currently live within commuting distance of Plano, TX. This position is not open to relocation candidates. Qualified candidates should also be available to interview and start quickly.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve complex production issues across Android, Kotlin, C++ and integrated software environments

Perform advanced debugging and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using logs, telemetry, crash reports and production data

Leverage AI/LLM-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot or similar technologies

Build and improve AI-driven automation for troubleshooting, log analysis and issue resolution

Develop intelligent workflows using technologies such as RAG and AI agents

Identify opportunities to automate repetitive debugging and reliability processes

Troubleshoot application performance, memory, multithreading and integration issues

Work with REST APIs, Git/version control and CI/CD pipelines

Partner with engineering and support teams to improve production stability and reliability

Required Qualifications

5+ years of professional software engineering experience

Strong hands-on Android and Kotlin development experience

Professional C++ development experience

Strong production debugging, troubleshooting and RCA experience

Experience analyzing logs, telemetry, crash reports and production defects

Hands-on experience with AI/LLM-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot

Experience building or contributing to AI-driven automation workflows

Experience with Git/version control and CI/CD

Strong understanding of REST APIs, multithreading, memory management and performance troubleshooting

Preferred Experience

RAG / Retrieval-Augmented Generation

AI agents and agent-based workflows

C# / .NET

React Native

POS or hospitality technology

EMV or payment-processing systems

Embedded systems or hardware integration

AWS or Azure

Jira / Agile environments

Important Location Requirement

This is a hybrid position based in Plano, Texas. Candidates must already live locally and be able to commute to the Plano office as required. No relocation candidates will be considered.
