Role Summary
The Actuarial Software Engineer II designs, develops, and maintains actuarial calculation software within modern, scalable .NET-based systems for a leading insurance-domain client. The engineer translates actuarial specifications, rate tables, and Excel-based models into robust, testable C# components and APIs.
Programming: C#, .NET ecosystem, ASP.NET / .NET Core, Object-Oriented Design, SOLID Principles, Design Patterns
APIs & Architecture: Web APIs, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Databases: SQL Server, Query Optimization, Data Modeling, Performance Tuning
ORM & Frameworks: Entity Framework (or similar ORM)
Domain Tools: Excel (interpretation and validation of actuarial/financial calculation logic)
DevOps & Tooling: Git, Azure DevOps, JIRA, CI/CD Pipelines
Testing: Unit Testing, Automated Testing
Performance & Security: Caching, Async Processing, Application Security / Data Protection basics
Responsibilities
