Senior AI Engineer

About the role

Optomi, in partnership with a leading technology organization operating at the scale of a major financial enterprise, is looking for a Senior Engineer (VP-equivalent) to join their Customer-Facing AI Agents team. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Engineer to design and build production agentic workflows for customer-facing use cases. This role involves working on multi-turn conversation, tool calling, retrieval, escalation, and human handoff. You will own agent orchestration end to end using LangGraph/LangChain, integrate agents with core service layers, and build and tune evaluation loops. The position requires hardening systems for a regulated, high-trust environment.

7+ years of software engineering experience

Proven hands-on delivery of LLM-based agentic systems in production

Strong proficiency in Python and Java

Experience with PyTorch and LLM serving/inference

Own agent orchestration using LangGraph/LangChain

Integrate agents with Java/Spring microservices

Build and tune evaluation loops and ensure system reliability and safety
