About The Role

The Strategic Data Scientist at CoverMyMeds plays a vital role in driving the success of our organization through advanced data analytics and strategic insights. This position involves working closely with internal teams and external clients to analyze large datasets, develop predictive models, and generate actionable insights that support business growth and customer satisfaction. The role emphasizes prioritizing high-impact projects that directly influence commercial outcomes and enhance the value proposition of our products and services.

Additionally, the Strategic Data Scientist will monitor ongoing portfolio health, facilitate stakeholder updates, and escalate issues promptly. They will develop expertise in the pharmaceutical industry, our company’s products, and the specific needs of supported accounts to deliver tailored insights that drive client success and operational excellence.

Qualifications

BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in data analytics, business, public health, or a related field; healthcare experience is strongly preferred.

5-7 years of experience in an analytics role within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.

Strong understanding of data science methodologies including decision trees, multivariate analysis, segmentation modeling, factor analysis, regression analysis, forecasting, and machine learning.

Experience with statistical software such as Python, R, MATLAB, SAS, or similar tools.

Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.

Intermediate to advanced skills in data visualization tools like Tableau, Excel, or similar platforms.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly interpret complex datasets.

Strong communication skills to present insights clearly and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain trusted relationships with client success teams and external clients by demonstrating the value of our products through compelling data stories.

Conduct proactive analyses of portfolio performance, customer needs, and market trends to identify risks and opportunities.

Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze product data, identify key drivers, and forecast future outcomes.

Monitor portfolio health and provide regular updates and insights to stakeholders through reports and presentations.

Create clear, concise, and visually engaging client-facing reports and dashboards to communicate complex findings effectively.

Identify opportunities to enhance product value and analytical efficiency, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with account teams to support complex client requests and resolve issues escalated from clients or internal teams.

Contribute insights that inform strategic decisions related to product development, competitive positioning, and operational improvements.

Develop deep expertise in CoverMyMeds products, the pharmaceutical industry, and the business context of supported accounts to provide relevant and impactful insights.
