About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer in Maryland Heights, MO, to support our future franchise programs. This role involves developing cutting-edge software solutions for the next-generation Mission Planning system designed for the Department of Defense. As a key member of a Scrum team, you will follow the SAFe Agile methodology to develop weapon planning software that utilizes a microservices architecture. The front-end will primarily be built using JavaScript and React, while the back-end services will be developed using C#. Your work will contribute to the evolution of mission-critical systems that demand high reliability, security, and performance.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance. Candidates should have at least five years of software development experience, with proficiency in languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, C#, and/or C++. Experience with RESTful API development and usage is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, along with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with systems engineers, hardware engineers, and program managers.

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, project tracking tools like Jira or Azure DevOps, and version control systems such as Git is necessary. Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and system validation in complex environments will be highly valued. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to document software designs, interface specifications, and test plans clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain weapon planning software throughout its lifecycle, ensuring high standards of quality and reliability.

Assist the Product Owner in reviewing, analyzing, and translating customer requirements into initial software designs.

Support the development, enhancement, and optimization of software functionalities, including systems integration and interface development.

Contribute to the documentation of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and design specifications.

Debug and resolve technical issues promptly to maintain system integrity and performance.

Develop and implement software processes to improve efficiency, quality, and security.

Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, to ensure project milestones are met.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet mission-critical requirements.

The base pay range for this role is approximately $105,000 to $128,140, depending on experience and qualifications.
