About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer / Developer (Experienced or Senior) to join our Phantom Works Open Architecture Systems Integrated Software (OASIS) Solutions team based in Berkeley, MO, near the St. Louis, MO area. This position plays a crucial role in supporting Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering initiatives, focusing on developing advanced software solutions for space-based effects supporting air domain missions. Due to the sensitive nature of the work, candidates must possess an active U.S. Secret security clearance, with an active clearance within the past 24 months being acceptable. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to innovative projects, and develop software that pushes the boundaries of aerospace technology.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, data science, or related fields, along with extensive experience in software development. Candidates should have a minimum of five years of software engineering experience, with proficiency in C++, MATLAB, and familiarity with Agile development methodologies. An active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is mandatory, with U.S. citizenship required for eligibility. Preferred qualifications include experience with physics-based modeling, DevSecOps practices, Linux and Windows environments, and real-time software development. Candidates with advanced degrees or extensive relevant experience will be considered for higher levels within the role.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain non-embedded software throughout its lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry, safety, and regulatory standards.
Translate customer requirements into initial software design and architecture, ensuring clarity and feasibility.
Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Develop interface definitions and ensure seamless integration with other system components.
Perform comprehensive unit and integration testing to validate software functionality and performance.
Participate actively in peer reviews to uphold quality standards and best practices.
Support software system integration and testing activities, troubleshooting issues as needed.
Create detailed software documentation to facilitate future maintenance and upgrades.
Interface with various programming languages and tools, including C++, MATLAB, Java, and others, to develop robust software solutions.

The pay range for this role is between $126,650 and $171,350 for experienced candidates and $160,650 to $217,350 for senior-level professionals, with potential signing bonuses for qualified external applicants.
