What you will accomplish in this role
At HCA Healthcare, our Digital Transformation & Innovation (DT&I) team is using data, software, and AI to solve some of healthcare's most complex challenges. We're looking for a talented AI Engineer to work directly with clinical teams to turn real-world problems into scalable technology solutions.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who combines strong technical ability with exceptional communication skills and enjoys taking problems from idea to production.
What You'll Do
Partner directly with clinicians and operational teams to understand challenges and build effective solutions.
Build data pipelines, applications, and workflows using Palantir Foundry.
Develop custom applications using large-scale healthcare data and AI.
Collaborate with engineers on architecture and design decisions.
Translate complex technical concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Own projects from ideation through deployment and iterate rapidly based on user feedback.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with a strong preference for candidates from highly regarded computer science or technical programs.
1+ years of relevant professional experience after college.
Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar.
Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry or comparable data platforms.
Strong software engineering and problem-solving fundamentals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with evolving requirements.
Preferred Experience
Palantir Foundry experience, including data pipelines, Ontology, Workshop, or related capabilities.
Palantir certification such as Foundry Data Engineer, Solution Architect, or Application Developer.
Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
Experience building solutions in regulated industries such as healthcare or financial services.

Work Location/Schedule:
Remote (U.S. Only) - M-F, 8am – 5pm - Central Time
Travel Required:
This job requires travel to Nashville, TN to attend final interview, 3-day New Hire Orientation, quarterly team meetings, and other travel on an as-needed basis
