Role Description
Our two-year Graduate GROW Programme supports your transition from student to professional, sitting alongside client work and real projects from day one. Each graduate’s journey is unique, shaped by their chosen specialism and the variety of projects they contribute to. You will build your technical expertise by contributing to meaningful client engagements and project work, whilst business acumen and professional skills will be developed through centrally delivered graduate cohort training. Although there are no formal rotations, graduates are encouraged and supported by their managers to proactively seek opportunities, to broaden their experience and support their development.
As a consultant joining GROW, you’ll be working within a diverse team of consultants, cultivating a deep understanding of our sectors, building long-term relationships with clients and colleagues, and finding ways to improve the ways in which we work. You’ll be responsible for your own deliverables, liaising with clients, and given every opportunity to build your skillsets.
Role Accountabilities
Data Scientist
The Data Science and Analytics Group form part of the Arcadis Intelligence Global Business Area, whose mission is to drive digital leadership and deliver sustainable digital solutions to our clients, that secure planet-positive, tangible outcomes. There is a significant opportunity to join our group of data experts, advanced analytics solutions engineering and analytics consulting practices, where you will support with descriptive and predictive modelling (including Machine Learning), as well as solving complex mathematical optimisation challenges – principally, but not exclusively related to Asset Investment Planning. Our projects sit across multiple sectors and the end-to-end asset life-cycle - including Water, Energy, Cities, Transport and Large Buildings Portfolios.
Qualifications & Experience
Accepted Degrees: BSc/BEng/MSc/MEng/MPhys in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Operational Research, Data Science, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering related degree.
You will be graduating in 2027 or have recently graduated in 2025 or 2026, with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master's or bachelor's degree.
You will demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player.
You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
Willing to travel and stay away from home when required (where possible we embrace virtual working).
