  • About the Opportunity:

The Software Engineer, Product Security - Security Automation role is centered on developing and deploying security tools and automation within the Product Security team. This position contributes to safeguarding a global, multi-cloud production environment by building scalable applications, APIs, and frameworks. The role plays a critical part in enhancing the security infrastructure that supports the organization’s growth and resilience against advanced threats.

  • Responsibilities:

Develop and operate robust, scalable systems within Product Security.

Design and implement software and automation tools for security, including supply chain security and AI-driven vulnerability discovery.

Collaborate with Product Security teams to define tooling strategies through risk assessments and architectural analysis.

Manage site reliability engineering, CI/CD pipelines, and data storage for critical security services.

Implement performance monitoring and response processes to maintain system reliability during security incidents.

  • Requirements:

Experience in software engineering involving event-driven systems, data ingestion pipelines, and automation tools.

Proficiency in Golang, Python, React, Angular, and/or Typescript.

Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization, cryptographic signing, and open-source software dependencies.

Experience with data engineering and operations for systems like OpenSearch, Postgres, Kafka, and SQS.

Ability to manage the full software development lifecycle with a focus on mission outcomes.

Experience with Generative AI, including creating services using large language models.

Familiarity with configuration management and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Chef, Salt, or Puppet.

Background in Product Security, particularly in product platforms or customer-facing applications.

Broad knowledge of cybersecurity threats, tactics, techniques, and procedures.

Skills in monitoring and analyzing telemetry data from applications and infrastructure.

Experience in Security Operations or Incident Response.

Experience working in cloud environments, preferably AWS or GCP.

Ability to work confidently and independently, with sound judgment on when to seek team support.
