We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with strong C++ expertise to join the engineering team and help build the high-performance systems that power the trading business.
The Role
As a Software Engineer, you’ll work on challenging technical problems where performance, reliability and scalability matter. You’ll collaborate closely with quantitative researchers, traders and other engineers to design, develop and optimise sophisticated trading infrastructure.
Your work could span everything from ultra-low-latency systems and market connectivity to distributed services, data infrastructure and performance-critical applications.
What You’ll Do
Design, develop and maintain high-performance software in modern C++
Build reliable, scalable systems operating in demanding, real-time environments
Profile and optimise code for latency, throughput and efficiency
Work closely with quantitative researchers and traders to translate ideas into production systems
Investigate complex technical problems and develop robust solutions
Contribute to system architecture, engineering practices and technical direction
Review code and share knowledge with other engineers
Continuously explore new technologies and approaches to improve our systems
What We’re Looking For
Strong professional experience developing software in C++
Excellent understanding of software engineering fundamentals, data structures and algorithms
Experience building performance-critical, concurrent or distributed systems
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience working with Linux and modern development tooling
A passion for writing clean, efficient and maintainable code
The ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in a highly collaborative environment
Experience in areas such as low-latency systems, networking, operating systems, compilers, distributed systems or financial technology would be advantageous, but is not essential.
