About The Role
We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our talented team. This is a remote position, offering flexibility for those near our local offices or elsewhere. As a Junior Software Engineer, you will be involved in developing, maintaining, and enhancing our software products. You will work closely with experienced engineers, participate in agile development cycles, and contribute to projects that impact our users. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or at least 2 years of relevant experience
Minimum of 1 year of professional software development experience
Proficiency with current programming languages such as Ruby, Python, Java, or Rust
Experience with front-end web development languages including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Familiarity with web application frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, Django, or Laravel (preferred but not required)
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies
Ability to work effectively in an agile environment with a focus on continuous integration
Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude
Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain software applications in line with project requirements
Engage in code reviews, pair programming, and team collaboration to ensure high-quality deliverables
Learn and become proficient in Ruby, Rails, Vue.js, and other relevant technologies
Participate actively in agile development cycles, including sprint planning and retrospectives
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools
Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, demonstrating initiative and accountability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet user needs
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance team capabilities
