About the Opportunity:

The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER - AI & SEARCH will contribute to designing, developing, and implementing scalable microservices architectures that support the organization's business needs. This role is pivotal in building robust, high-quality software platforms that enhance operational capabilities and customer-facing technologies. The position involves collaboration across multiple teams to ensure system scalability, reliability, and maintainability, directly impacting the effectiveness of technology-driven transportation solutions.

Responsibilities:

Participate in full software development lifecycle providing technical guidance and support.

Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, DevOps, and QA to design and develop scalable microservices platforms.

Develop reusable, testable, and maintainable code following industry standards.

Build reusable frameworks and work with DevOps to ensure platform availability and fault tolerance.

Manage operational issues with minimal supervision.

Conduct code reviews ensuring adherence to standards and architectural principles.

Maintain technical documentation and user guides.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Over 5 years of Object-Oriented Development experience, especially with JVM platforms using Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, MVC, JDBC).

Minimum 2 years experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools like Tekton, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.

At least 2 years practicing clean code principles including TDD/BDD, Extreme Programming, continuous refactoring, and testing.

Preferred experience includes 1+ year with search technologies (Apache Solr, Elastic Search), databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB), cloud services (GCP or AWS), Python for data pipelines, application of LLM and AI development tools.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

Salary range $115,000 to $192,900 based on experience and job scope.
