About the Opportunity:

The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER - COMMERCIAL SERVICES leads the design, development, and maintenance of backend microservices critical to the organization’s order processing and business operations. This role drives technical excellence, mentors engineers, and ensures the reliability and scalability of systems that support core business functions, directly impacting patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Lead design and technical implementation decisions for robust order processing systems

Mentor engineers and promote best engineering practices including AI tooling

Collaborate with Product Managers from requirements gathering through deployment and maintenance

Develop and maintain highly available backend systems supporting business applications

Support quality assurance initiatives alongside QA teams

Requirements:

Minimum 7 years software development experience with emphasis on Java and Spring Boot

Proficient in event-driven architectures and Apache Kafka message processing

Experience with remote and hybrid teams

Proven mentoring and leadership capabilities

Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, test-driven and domain-driven development

Familiarity with AI processes integrated into SDLC

Experience with microservice architectures and AWS ecosystem services

Skilled in GraphQL API design and relational database management

Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and facilitation skills

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

Remote USA $125,600—$157,000 USD depending on experience, skills, certifications, and location
