Senior Software Engineer - Distributed Systems & Platform Engineering

Unlike many larger organizations where engineers contribute to a small piece of a product, engineers in this environment own systems end-to-end, influence technical direction, and work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions.

What You'll Be Working On

You may contribute to platforms involving:

Distributed backend systems

Event-driven architectures

High-volume transaction processing

Data and ingestion platforms

Workflow orchestration systems

Financial infrastructure and operational platforms

Real-time business-critical services

Large-scale API and integration ecosystems

Cloud-native platform modernization

What We're Looking For

3+ years of professional software engineering experience

Strong commercial experience with Java

Experience building distributed systems and microservices

Strong understanding of event-driven architectures

Experience with technologies such as:

Spring Boot

Kafka

Kubernetes

AWS

REST APIs

SQL and NoSQL databases

Experience owning systems through design, development, deployment and production support

Strong problem-solving and system design skills

Ability to explain technical decisions and tradeoffs clearly

Strongly Preferred

Experience with one or more of:

Trading systems

Payments infrastructure

Transaction processing

Reconciliation platforms

Settlement workflows

Market data systems

Reference data platforms

Order management systems

Large-scale data pipelines

Workflow orchestration platforms
