About the role

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to design and build production-grade Generative AI and Agentic AI systems for enterprise clients.

This is a hands-on engineering role. You will be in the codebase. You will also partner with client stakeholders and shape where their AI roadmap goes — but the defining trait of this role is that you build the thing you designed, and you own it once it's running.

What You Will Do

Build and ship enterprise GenAI and multi-agent systems end to end — architecture through production deployment. You write code, review PRs, and own what runs.

Design and implement agent orchestration: autonomous workflows, inter-agent communication, handoff and coordination patterns, and graceful failure recovery.

Build retrieval systems that hold up under real data — chunking and indexing strategy, vector search, hybrid retrieval, reranking, and the evaluation to prove any of it works.

Establish evaluation and regression testing for LLM applications so quality is measured, not assumed.

Instrument systems for observability: token consumption, latency, failure modes, and cost per transaction.

Debug and remediate production issues in non-deterministic systems, including silent failures and quality regressions.

Make and defend model selection and inference cost tradeoffs.

Partner directly with client stakeholders to translate business objectives into systems that ship — and produce the architecture artifacts (HLDs, LLDs, API specs, roadmaps) that let a client's own teams operate what you built.

Design integrations between AI platforms and enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and third-party systems.

What You Will Bring

8+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years building production Generative AI systems.

At least one GenAI system you took from prototype to production with real users — and the ability to walk through what you'd design differently now.

2+ years building multi-agent systems: autonomous workflows, orchestration frameworks, and coordination between agents. Whether you used A2A, MCP, LangGraph, or something you wrote yourself matters less than what you learned building it.

Strong hands-on Python. You're comfortable in someone else's codebase and you've written the kind of code other engineers depend on.

Experience with leading foundation models (Claude, OpenAI GPT, open-source alternatives) and a working understanding of where each one fits.

Production experience on at least one major cloud — Azure, AWS, or GCP — with working familiarity across others. Relevant services include Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Services, AWS Bedrock and SageMaker, Vertex AI, and Databricks.

Solid grounding in ML fundamentals, model deployment, vector databases, and semantic search.

You've hit the wall where a working demo stopped working at scale, and you can explain what caused it and how you fixed it.
