Role Description This full-time, on-site Senior Software Engineer role is based in San Francisco, CA. The Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that power CryptoStoryBank’s core platform. Responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and testable code, performing code reviews, and participating in architecture and design discussions. The role involves collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to refine requirements, estimate effort, and deliver features on schedule. The Senior Software Engineer will also troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and contribute to improving development practices, tooling, and documentation.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, with experience building robust, scalable services.
Advanced Programming skills with expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and modern software engineering practices.
Experience with API design (REST and/or GraphQL), databases (SQL and NoSQL), and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Knowledge of secure coding practices and familiarity with blockchain, cryptocurrencies, or financial systems is a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, mentor other engineers, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
