Role Description As a Software Engineer, Infrastructure (C++) at Fabri, you will design, build, and maintain core infrastructure software that powers our software-defined foundries. You will develop high-performance C++ services and libraries, implement robust APIs and tooling, and improve reliability, scalability, and observability across our systems. Day-to-day, you will collaborate with other engineers and manufacturing experts to translate operational requirements into production-ready infrastructure, conduct code reviews, write tests, and troubleshoot issues in live environments. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Boston, where you will work closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, industrial R&D environment.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and systems concepts.

Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with substantial experience in C++ and modern development practices.

Experience with Back-End Web Development, including services, APIs, and integration with distributed systems.

Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and their application to infrastructure and systems design.

Familiarity with Linux-based environments, build systems, and performance optimization for production software.

Experience with testing frameworks, version control (e.g., Git), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).

Ability to work on-site in Greater Boston, collaborating closely with engineering and operations teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience with industrial automation, real-time systems, or manufacturing-related software is a plus.
