Responsibilities
- Build AI product features that integrate language models, retrieval, and application services
- Create evaluation datasets and automated checks for output quality and failure modes
- Implement APIs, retrieval workflows, and model integrations with clear interfaces
- Monitor and improve response quality, latency, reliability, and inference cost
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to document behavior and maintain production features
Qualification
Required
- Practical experience developing software features that use machine learning or language models
- Strong Python skills, API development experience, and software testing fundamentals
- Understanding of retrieval, model evaluation, prompt design, and common model limitations
- Ability to diagnose failures across application, data, and model components
- Clear communication and the ability to deliver scoped work independently in a remote team
Preferred
- Experience with vector search, structured model outputs, or tool-enabled applications
- Familiarity with production AI monitoring and systematic evaluation of model changes
