Fullstack Software Engineer
About the role
Company Description Expanding Minds partners with Montessori and other private school leaders to help them build thriving, sustainable schools. The company combines hands-on operational and growth support with an all-in-one platform that unifies school websites, daily operations, and admissions pipelines in one place. Each school receives a custom-branded website and a single dashboard for content, tour bookings, open house signups, parent inquiries, and a family CRM. Built-in SEO, AI-powered answer optimization, and a curated content library help schools stay visible and engaged with families without requiring a dedicated marketing team. Grounded in authentic Montessori practice and a deep commitment to families, Expanding Minds supports schools from single campuses to growing networks.
Role Description As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Expanding Minds, you will design, build, and maintain features across the company's all-in-one platform for private and Montessori schools. You will work on both front-end and back-end systems—including dashboards, content management tools, admissions workflows, and integrations with third-party services—using React, Next.js, and TypeScript across the stack. Daily responsibilities include implementing responsive user interfaces, developing secure and reliable APIs, writing clean and testable code, and collaborating with product and design partners to refine requirements. You will participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural decisions, and help improve our development tooling, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and deployment processes on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This is a full-time remote role, offering flexibility while working closely with a distributed, mission-driven team.

Ability to translate product requirements into technical designs, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills and experience collaborating in remote, cross-functional teams.
