Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer – SIL/HIL (Software-in-the-Loop / Hardware-in-the-Loop) to join our engineering team. The role involves developing, integrating, testing, and validating embedded software using SIL and HIL environments.

The ideal candidate will have experience with embedded systems, simulation, automated testing, and debugging, with a strong understanding of software development and verification processes.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain SIL and HIL test environments for embedded software validation.

Design, develop, and execute automated test cases and test scenarios.

Perform software integration, verification, and validation activities.

Develop simulation models and test setups for real-time hardware and software testing.

Analyze test results, identify failures, and perform root-cause analysis.

Debug embedded software issues using appropriate development and debugging tools.

Integrate software components with HIL/SIL platforms and test benches.

Develop automation scripts using Python, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar tools.

Maintain test scripts, test configurations, simulation models, and test documentation.

Collaborate with software, hardware, systems, and test engineers to resolve defects.

Participate in requirements analysis, test planning, execution, and reporting.

Support continuous integration and automated regression testing.

Ensure testing activities comply with relevant development and quality processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.

2–6 years of experience in software testing, embedded software, SIL/HIL, or system validation.

Strong programming skills in C/C++ and/or Python.

Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and model-based development is preferred.

Understanding of SIL, HIL, MIL, software integration, and automated testing concepts.

Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting.

Good knowledge of software development and testing methodologies.

Experience with debugging tools and log analysis.

Familiarity with version-control systems such as Git.

Good analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with automotive, aerospace, industrial automation, robotics, or other embedded systems.

Knowledge of CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, or other communication protocols.

Experience with tools such as dSPACE, NI, Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, ETAS, or similar HIL/SIL platforms.

Knowledge of AUTOSAR and automotive embedded software is an advantage.

Familiarity with Jenkins, CI/CD, Jira, and requirements/test-management tools.

Understanding of functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 is a plus.
