Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms for application and infrastructure deployments

Support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, including Azure Kubernetes Service where appropriate

Implement cloud security best practices for identity and access management, secrets, encryption, network controls, and policy-driven governance

Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, or comparable tools

Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, deployment, and application issues across non-production and production environments

Monitor cloud consumption and recommend opportunities to improve performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency

Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, architects, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions

Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, documentation, and the development of engineering standards

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)

Experience with Git-based development workflows, branching strategies, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines

Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting for cloud infrastructure and applications

Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across applications, infrastructure, networking, and deployment pipelines

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration platforms such as Azure Kubernetes Service

Experience with Databricks, modern data platforms, analytics workloads, or AI/ML infrastructure

Familiarity with event-driven architecture, messaging platforms, and serverless application patterns

Experience with cloud governance, policy-as-code, secrets management, and enterprise security standards

Knowledge of cloud cost management and FinOps practices

Experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability platforms such as Datadog

Experience supporting enterprise-scale production environments and participating in incident response

Example Daily Duties

Provision cloud resources and environments through approved infrastructure-as-code pipelines

Develop or enhance reusable Terraform or Bicep modules and automation scripts

Configure networking, identity, access controls, secrets, and security policies for cloud workloads

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application releases
