Software Engineer

About the role

Role Description The Software Engineer role at Amarra Partners is a full-time, position based in Houston, TX, with flexibility for some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and back-end systems that support internal operations and client-facing solutions.

Qualifications

· Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software and firmware.

· Write clean, efficient, secure, and well-documented code in accordance with established standards.

· Develop applications, services, tools, and firmware using appropriate programming languages and frameworks.

· Prepare software design specifications based on product, customer, and technical requirements.

· Participate in code reviews and contribute to software architecture, coding standards, and development practices.

· Develop automated tests, troubleshoot system issues, and implement corrective actions.

· Ensure software performance, security, scalability, responsiveness, and reliability.

· Develop and maintain data pipelines, dashboards, reporting tools, and analytics solutions.

· Collect, prepare, and analyze product and customer data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.

· Develop, train, test, and improve machine-learning models that support automation, prediction, classification, and optimization.

· Integrate, deploy, and monitor machine-learning models and data-driven solutions.

· Ensure data quality and document analytical methods, models, assumptions, and results.

· Provide support to customers and internal teams.

· Investigate customer and product issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.

· Use customer feedback and product-performance data to recommend software and product improvements.

· Coordinate with external engineering and manufacturing partners to resolve technical issues and implement product improvements.

· Support software and system testing, installation, commissioning, and validation.

· Monitor recurring technical issues and identify opportunities to improve product performance, reliability, and customer experience.

· Prepare and maintain software, product, user, installation, and maintenance documentation.

· Work with internal teams and external partners to evaluate solutions and complete projects on schedule.

· Perform other duties as assigned.
