The Role
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help design, build, and scale the core backend systems that power our platform.
What You'll Do
Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
Own projects end-to-end as a Directly Responsible Individual (DRI)
Architect and implement systems using Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redis, and AWS
Collaborate with engineers across frontend, solutions, and platform teams to deliver customer-facing capabilities
Improve system reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability
Participate in technical architecture discussions and help shape engineering direction
Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve developer productivity
Debug complex production issues and implement long-term solutions
Contribute to cloud infrastructure and platform decisions as needed
Bring new ideas, challenge assumptions, and help improve how we build products
What We're Looking For
5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript
Experience designing and building APIs and distributed systems
Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
Experience with Redis or other caching technologies
Comfortable working with AWS cloud services
Ability to independently drive projects and make sound technical decisions
Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities
Excellent communication skills
Comfortable operating with ambiguity and limited handholding
Startup mindset with a willingness to wear multiple hats
