About the role
Job Summary
Our client, a leading Healthcare & Life Sciences provider, is seeking a Software Engineer, Automated Systems to join our client! This position will report onsite at our client’s St. Louis, MO location. Relocation candidates are welcomed. The strongest candidate will have strong programming skills (C#, Python, C++) paired with integrating software with hardware systems, instrumentation, sensors, machine vision, robotics, or industrial control platforms.
Core Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain software for engineering and laboratory systems
Develop applications using C#, MATLAB, Python, C++, or related technologies
Integrate software with instrumentation, sensors, cameras, robotics, and motion control platforms
Develop software interfaces between automation systems, databases, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications
Support machine vision and image-processing software applications
Troubleshoot software and system integration issues
Develop technical documentation, software specifications, and user guides
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, etc
5+ years of experience developing software for automation, industrial, scientific, or engineering systems
Strong programming skills in C#, MATLAB, Python, C++, or similar object-oriented languages
Experience integrating software with hardware systems, instrumentation, sensors, machine vision, robotics, or industrial control platforms
Knowledge of industrial automation architectures, control systems, and communication protocols
Experience with source control, software testing, and modern software engineering practices
Work Environment
Location: St. Louis, MO

Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $39.00 and $57.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
