Artificial Intelligence Engineer
About the role
Location: Onsite — Irvine, CA (200 Spectrum Center Drive)
About the Company :
We aim to become one of the top 100 CPA firms in the US through a culture of continuous improvement, positioning ourselves as the go-to partner for businesses nationwide and setting the standard for excellence in accounting.
The Opportunity :
We are looking for an AI Engineer to help build and scale AI-driven automation systems that improve operational efficiency and streamline complex business workflows, particularly in audit and accounting-related operations.
You will work on building LLM-powered workflows, agentic systems, document intelligence pipelines, and scalable backend infrastructure that integrates AI into real-world operational processes. This is a hands-on engineering role in a fast-paced environment where you will contribute directly to architecture, implementation, and deployment of AI-powered products.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Design, build, and maintain AI-powered workflow automation systems.
Develop LLM-powered applications, agentic workflows, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.
Build orchestration systems for multi-step business processes and AI-assisted task execution.
Create scalable backend services, APIs, and lightweight frontend interfaces that integrate AI systems with internal and external platforms.
Develop document intelligence pipelines for processing PDFs, spreadsheets, reports, and operational data.
Implement workflows involving extraction, validation, classification, summarization, and data normalization.
Build human-in-the-loop systems that support review, approval, and auditability of AI-generated outputs.
Contribute to cloud-native infrastructure, deployment workflows, monitoring, and production operations.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to translate business workflows into scalable AI solutions.
Continuously improve system reliability, response quality, observability, and operational efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:
0–3 years of experience in python-based software engineering, AI/ML engineering, and applied AI development.
Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and AI workflow orchestration.
Strong understanding of APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems.
Experience working with structured and unstructured data processing pipelines.
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and system design skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-moving engineering environment; learns fast, builds faster, and isn’t afraid to ask hard questions.
Someone who wants to be early on something big, not just maintain legacy tools.
Gets energy from experimentation and autonomy.
Wants skin in the game with equity and long-term impact.
